The year is coming to an end, and as we look back on our achievements and growth, it’s clear that not all outcomes have been as we hoped. I know mine weren’t. There was so much I planned to accomplish this year but didn’t—largely due to laziness, procrastination, and misplaced priorities. Yet, even in my failures, God showed up in ways I could never have imagined. He blessed me with accomplishments beyond my wildest dreams—things I hadn’t even dared to ask for. This year was tough, but it was also transformative. In every storm, I saw the hand of God.
I saw His glory and favor manifest in my life. For the first time, I feel content. I’ve come to understand that there is no life without Christ. As Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). I am living in the season of fullness and favor—a season only He can bring.
Every sacrifice has been worth it. The midnight prayers, the conferences I attended, and the moments I poured into seeking Him have not been in vain. People questioned me, saying, “Why are you praying when you could be studying? Why are you praying instead of applying for jobs?” But I’ve learned that “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Time spent in His presence is never wasted.
God said, “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Yet, so often, we chase after the fleeting promises of this world—wealth, power, and material things—forgetting that all these are already freely given in Christ. The world has nothing to offer that isn’t already ours in Him.
The issue is not what we lack; it’s that we don’t know who we are. We struggle with identity. This is why spending time with God is essential—to know Him, to know ourselves, and to grasp the authority and power we carry as His children. Let us be relentless in seeking God. Let us not rest until we dwell in His presence and see His face.
If this year didn’t unfold as you hoped, that’s okay. Don’t give up. Try again next year—but this time, with God. Scripture promises, “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6). With God, you can’t go wrong. He opens doors where there are none, makes paths in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Ask Moses and the Israelites; they can testify that nothing is too hard for Him.
God is knocking on the door of your heart. His word says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelation 3:20). Will you let Him in?
It may feel like your plans failed, but remember this: when Jesus died on the cross, it seemed for three days that the enemy had won. But on the third day, Christ rose with power, authority, and glory. “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him” (Acts 2:24).
This is your time to rise, child of God. The time has come for the glory of the Lord to rise upon you. The Bible declares, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you” (Isaiah 60:1).
Let’s do things differently this year 2025. Let’s do them with God. Be intentional with your time and rise from your slumber. The Word reminds us, “The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:11–12).
As we step into 2025, we’re stepping into the Psalms 23 era: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:1–3). This is the year we will lack nothing. We will walk in divine peace—not the temporary peace the world gives, but the lasting peace Jesus promised: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). God is going all in with us. Why can’t we do the same?
You are not a failure. Scripture reminds us, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). Nothing can separate you from His love. Stay rooted in Him. Tarry in His presence, and watch as He rewards you, transforms you, and shapes you into the person He created you to be.
Let us step into 2025 with boldness, power, and authority. The enemy may have thought he won, but the third day has passed. It is our time to rise. Jesus said, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” (Luke 10:19).
Here’s to 2025—a year of victory, glory, and living in the fullness of Christ. Let us walk boldly into this new season, for the Lord is with us!
